Soil Day (Mullapäev) is an annual conference organised by the Estonian University of Life Sciences, bringing together researchers, practitioners, policymakers and other stakeholders interested in the sustainable use and protection of soils.
The conference provides a platform for sharing knowledge, research results and practical experience related to soil health and sustainable soil management. Over the years, Soil Day has addressed a wide range of topical issues, including soil policy and monitoring, soil biodiversity, fertilisation, soil organic carbon, sustainable agricultural practices, soil data and the protection of soil resources.
Soil Day is organised by the Institute of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences of the Estonian University of Life Sciences in cooperation with partner organisations, including the Estonian Soil Science Society.
The conference is held annually in December. Programmes, presentations, videos, photo galleries and other materials from previous Soil Day conferences are available in the Soil Day archive.
*Please note that Soil Day is primarily held in Estonian and most of the conference materials are available in Estonian only*
