Educational materials

The Chair of Soil Science provides educational materials to support learning and teaching in soil science and related fields. The materials cover a range of topics, from fundamental soil properties and processes to the role of carbon in terrestrial ecosystems.

The resources include written study materials, educational videos and interactive learning materials. Materials are available in both English and Estonian, with further information and links provided below.

IntASEK (International Applied Soil & Plant Ecology Knowledge) provides an English-language Learning Toolbox – Carbon in Terrestrial Ecosystems, focusing on carbon pools, forms, dynamics and related properties across different ecosystems.

The toolbox is designed to support both students and teachers and includes short lecture materials, tests, videos, exercises and manuals for practical work. The materials can be used at different levels of higher education as well as in lifelong learning.

The study materials, including the Soil ABC series, are available on our Estonian-language Educational Materials (Õppematerjalid) page.
