Estonian University of Life Sciences and University of Toyama Join Forces for Sustainable Development

The Estonian University of Life Sciences' Institute of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences and the University of Toyama's Research Center for Global Sustainable Development have signed a bilateral cooperation agreement and invite the public to a lecture by University of Toyama researchers.

The signing of the cooperation agreement took place ceremonially at the Institute of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences of the Estonian University of Life Sciences on Friday, February 9, 2024. The cooperation between the two universities is an important step in deepening and advancing scientific collaboration on sustainable development, agriculture, forestry, and environmental topics.

Following the signing of the cooperation agreement, there were a public lecture by researchers from the University of Toyama. Professor Wada Naoya discussed ongoing ecological and climate change-related studies in the alpine ecosystems of the Tateyama Mountain Range in Japan, and Professor Geetha Mohan talked about enhancing climate adaptation through integrated bioproduction and adaptation strategies in rural areas of Asia and Africa.
