Virtual Career Day is the applied part of the IntASEK project. This ensures improvement in the students’ employability.

Name of the company: Veinimäe Talu

Veinimäe Talu is a company that grows grapes for winemaking in Southern Estonia. The goal is to develop a collection of grape varieties that are suitable for the Estonian temperate climate. Currently, on the 0,5 hectares, there are 75 different vine varieties and in total, they have 1500 plants. About 1300 of the plants are grown in the greenhouses.
The company offers a job possibility from spring until autumn. In spring, the main activity would be plant propagation. In the summer, the primary task would be pruning and weeding. Autumn activities are related to the harvest. The vintage would be a one-day event that will take place at the end of September. It will start with harvesting the grapes and end with crushing the grapes in the winery. Also, there is a possibility to take part in the apple harvest in the apple orchard (from September to October). The only request for the applicant is an interest in horticulture.

Vana-Peetri farm is a family-run company that is situated about 25 kilometres from Estonia's capital city Tallinn. They produce a wide variety of herbs in greenhouses.
The company offers an internship possibility during the summer. Working in the greenhouse includes packing, laying out the pots and cleaning the transport trays. Working hours would be from 4 p.m to 9 p.m and three to five times a week. No work on Fridays and Saturdays. They also offer a living possibility at the farm in a separate room. The applicant has to be a non-smoker and capable to work in high temperatures.
